What we collect
This site sets no tracking cookies, shows no advertising and does not profile visitors. We only receive data that you send us yourself:
- Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message. Used only to answer your enquiry.
- Membership application: full name, date of birth, OIB, email, mobile (optional), status and study details, and the declarations and consents given. The Associations Act requires name, OIB, date of birth, date of joining and membership category for the register of members; the rest is used to contact you and keep you informed.
Legal basis and retention
Enquiries sent through the contact form rest on our legitimate interest in answering them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are kept for at most two years. News about events and job listings is sent only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Membership data rests on performance of the membership relationship and our legal obligation to keep a register of members (Article 6(1)(b) and (c)); it is kept for the duration of membership and for the statutory periods after it ends.
Who receives the data
We never sell data or share it for marketing. Because of how the site works, these processors are involved:
- Netlify (hosting provider) — keeps access logs (IP address, time of request) for security and server operation, and receives and stores messages and applications sent through the forms on this site and forwards them to the association's mailbox. We delete submissions from Netlify once they have been processed, and within 30 days at the latest. Netlify is based in the USA and processes data under its data processing agreement (DPA);
- Google (Gmail) — the association's mailbox, where messages and applications arrive;
- Microsoft (the University of Split's Microsoft 365) — where the electronic register of members is kept; only authorised officers of the association have access;
- Google Maps — the map on the contact page loads only after you click to open it, because loading it passes your IP address to that service.
Fonts and stylesheets are served from our own domain, so simply visiting the site sends nothing to third parties. The link for printing an application carries its data in the part of the address that browsers never send to the server, so opening it leaves no record of that data anywhere.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to alumniaxis.st@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, Zagreb.
